The Academic Director of the CBR, Professor Temidayo Ogundiran, was on July 29, 2021 inducted as a Foundation Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Specialties of Nigeria. In a combined ceremony that featured the inauguration of the academy and induction of Fellows, he was one of the 117 distinguished Nigerian academics who were so inducted. The establishment of the Academy was approved by the Federal Government of Nigeria in June 2019. It’s objectives, among others, are to promote excellence in medical research and education and promote the application of research in medicine and the enhancement of human health and welfare. The Academic is a merit-based one, and Foundation Fellows have been selected based on their outstanding achievements and honorific contributions in Medicine.
