A globally respected cancer epidemiologist with over 30 years of groundbreaking research experience, Dr. Adebamowo brings unparalleled expertise to this pivotal role.
Dr. Adebamowo has built an illustrious career exploring critical areas of cancer research, including breast and cervical cancer, genomics, research ethics, and disparities in cancer care. His work has significantly contributed to advancing our understanding of cancer risk factors, improving early detection, and addressing health inequities. As Associate Director of both the Population Sciences Program and the Office of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility at UMSOM, Dr. Adebamowo has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to fostering inclusive and innovative research environments.
In his new role, Dr. Adebamowo will oversee cutting-edge research to unravel the complex interplay between genetics, environment, and social determinants in cancer epidemiology.
