The South African Research Ethics Training Initiative (SARETI) plans to host the first African Health Research Ethics Symposium (AHRES) in 2006. The meeting will be held from Wed 11th to Fri 13th October 2006 at the Meridien Hotel in Dakar, Senegal. The medium of the meeting will be in English.Interested participants are encouraged to the submission of papers and presentations at this SARETI symposium. The focus of AHRES will be the presentation of new research and scholarship on ethical issues in Research in Africa, or by African researchers and scholars.
