Dr Simisola Akintola received LL.B (Hons) degree in 1987 from the University of Ife , in 1991 the Masters of Laws, 2008 Masters of Laws in Global health Law and Ph.D. degrees in Law and Bioethics from the University of Southampton in 2016.
In 1990, she joined the Department of Private and Business Law of the University of Ibadan as a Lecturer, and in 2014 became a Reader. Her current research interests include Genomics in Nigeria, Law and Privacy and Data Sharing.
