The Department of Bioethics of the Clinical Center, National Institutes of Health (NIH), Department of Health and Human Services, is recruiting for a Staff Scientist position. The Department of Bioethics is dedicated to advanced research on theoretical and applied issues in bioethics, as well as bioethics consultation and training.
The Department currently has four major research foci:
- research ethics, including international;
- ethics of genetics and emerging technologies,
- ethics and health policy, and
- clinical ethics.
This position is shared between the NIH Clinical Center (CC) Department of Bioethics and the NIH Fogarty International Center (FIC). The successful candidate will be expected to conduct research on global bioethics issues. Possible topics include, but are not limited to the ethics of clinical research, especially collaborative international research, and issues in clinical ethics, public health ethics, and global health policy.
