Research Interests:

I am currently a Senior Lecturer and consultant  oncologist in the Department of Surgery, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan and University College Hospital, Ibadan, Nigeria. I received medical and surgical trainings in Nigeria and a postgraduate training in bioethics in Canada. I had further training experiences in surgery, biostatistics, genetic epidemiology and clinical oncology in academic centres in the USA, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom. I am the current head of the surgical oncology division of the University of Ibadan and University College Hospital where I am involved in teaching, training, clinical service and research. I also coordinates the activities of the West African Bioethics Training Program of the University of Ibadan. I am involved as co-investigator in international collaborative genetic epidemiology research in Nigeria and the USA. In addition to my primary clinical interest and focus on breast, colorectal and soft tissue tumours, my clinical and research interests include Genetic Epidemiology of Cancer, International Research Ethics, Bioethics Education, Research Integrity and Human Genome Research.
