Akinwale Akinjiola is a Research Associate at the Center for Bioethics and Research (CBR), Ibadan, Nigeria. He is an experienced graduate assistant and biomedical researcher, with a formal background in veterinary medicine, theriogenology with a keen interest in statistics, data analysis and computer programming.

Akinwale currently serves as Program Administrator for the Deepening Research Ethics In Nigeria (DREIN) project, an EDCTP-funded program to strengthen the ethics review capacity of the Health Research Ethics Committees in Nigeria. He is the incumbent Organizing Secretary for the Society of Oncology and Cancer Research of Nigeria (SOCRON). Also, he is the Nigerian representative for the Training and Resources in Research Ethics Evaluation (TRREE) online training program in partnership with CBR.
