The Center for Bioethics and Research (CBR) in partnership with the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) is happy to announce a new webinar “Working with Your IRB”.

Institutional Review Board (IRB)/ Research Ethics Committee (REC) approval provides an important “ethical seal” to a research work, consequently improving impressions of validity and reliability. However, there are different issues that arise during IRB/REC review and approval process of research protocols. These issues are evitable if researchers are fully versed and familiar with the application process beforehand, thus, submitting research proposals to an IRB does not have to be a frustrating experience.

“Working with Your IRB’’ Webinar provides a discussion of effective communication strategies for students and faculty to work with their IRB or REC and the nitty-gritty on how to respond to an IRB request. Learners are equipped with what needs to be reported to the IRB, when it needs to be reported and Insight on how to identify significant deadlines and dates in the IRB review process.
